Congratulations to Derek Jeter on his 3,000th hit! And a homer no less. The man has a flair for the dramatic. Say what you want – that he is overrated, has been surrounded by great players, etc – but you don’t luck into 3,000 hits. It’s a hell of an accomplishment and I’m proud to be a fan of Jeter. I was at hit #2,000 and wish I could have been there this one.
Now, let’s all just let the man age gracefully and not point out every little flaw that a 37 year old player is sure to encounter.
