Shiver me timbers, matey! A trade with Pirates Treasure Room

I recently made a trade with Brian of Pirates Treasure Room. The dude has a sick collection of Pirates cards especially Jason Bay and Andrew McCutchen. He pulled a Jordan Cote Elite Auto that I wanted, and I send him and Andrew McCutchen sketch card in return. Brian also threw in some other sweet Yanks.

Here’s an unexpected Ian Kennedy relic. I sort of wish the Yanks kept him instead of Joba or Hughes in the Granderson deal. However, I’m a realist and know that he wouldn’t nearly be as good of a pitcher in the AL East as he is in the NL West. It’s just how it is. Sorry.

Here are a few of the other Yanks he included as well.

Thanks for a great trade!

Sorry, I'm not trying to instigate, but that statement is exactly why the majority of fans hate the Yankees. The guy won 17 games in the 2nd best hitter's park in the NL after Coors. He can pitch in ANY division. It does pain me a bit to give kudos to a D-Back, but it is what it is.

  2. Aside from the Red Sox and a couple hitters on the Jays, the hitting isn't all that intimidating for a Yankee pitcher in the AL East. Nothing that the NL West can't match. And like hiflew says, the parks are lot friendlier in AL East.

  3. ... Er, maybe he didn't say that. But I still think if you take the Yankees out of the equation, the AL East's offensive potency drops quite a bit.

  4. He can pitch in any division, sure. I just think his skill set is better suited for the NL. Individual talent-wise, the NL West has no shortage of stars. However, the line-ups top to bottom aren't nearly as deep.

I'd still take Kennedy over Garcia or Hughes in a second right now, I just don't think he'd be viewed as highly as he is in Arizona.
