I collected baseball cards from the late '80s through 2002. Then I went to college and when I came out, I was lost. There were too many brands, sets, choices, relics, autos, parallels, variations. It was a turn off. However, I slowly made my way back.
So here is my attempt to venture back into the hobby. I'll buy a few packs of cards here and there, comment on some cards I have, send out some TTMs, and follow the progress of my Topps Yankees Project.

"It's like they're on fire!"
I've always like cards that were "on fire". I don't really know why. Real fire scares me, in fact. I still get nervous when I light a match. I hated turning on the Bunsen burner in science class. Even the oven scares me, although I do cook a bit.
Fire is one of my favorite scenes on the TV show Friends, as well:
So when I saw this Luis Torrens autograph, I had to have it. And don't worry, I picked up a second one for Zippy Zappy.
In the words of Joey Tribbiani, "Yeeeouuuuch! It's like it's on fire!"
There have been some other cool fiery cards dating back to the 1990s. In fact, I'm sure I'm forgetting a few, so let me know in the comments what sort of flame-themed sets I might be forgetting.
I want one of those Valiant numbers. It's awesome.
