Mariano Duncan was a key component of the 1996 Yankees World
Series champions. Out of nowhere, he hit .340 and was asked to play over 100
games, something he wasn’t originally signed to do. He then went on to hit .313
in the ALDS. He struggled a bit in the ALCS and World Series, but played a
solid 2B regardless.
Duncan signed these two cards for me TTM. I’m assuming he
was coaching in the minors when I sent them. He has a nice, legible signature.
I don’t know, something about the name “Mariano” must lead guys to have nice,
neat autographs.
