Tino Tuesday #35: 1992 Bowman Foil #626

This is one of the odder Tinos I have - a 1992 Bowman Foil. It was sent to me from Johngy. According to Baseball Card Pedia, there were 45 of these foil cards in the set, honoring Team USA players and Minor League POYs. That explains the back of these cards. From what I can tell, these foil cards were part of the actual base set, even though they were seeded at one per pack.

A few weeks back, I got an unsolicited email from Johngy of Johngy's Beat. He said he had a few Tinos to send me and wanted nothing in return. Despite offering to send him something, Johngy wanted to hear none of it. He sent me these five cards and they definitely have a place in my collection.

My favorite is easily the 1992 Bowman Gold Bordered Foil. I haven't seen this card anywhere. I'm not even sure what set it's from - was it a promotion? Parallel? Either way, it's really cool. I also had to laugh at the 1993 OPC. I hadn't seen this set. The design is super cheesy, but I like it.
