One relic (and autograph!) missing from my collection is
Derek Jeter. I have a card with a piece of game-used base, but no jersey card.
So I finally fixed that and picked up this 2010 Topps Tribute Jeter jersey
card. It’s number to /99, which is no big deal. I wish it was a home jersey,
but the prices for Pinstripes are high, so I settled on road gray. Still a
pretty sweet card and a good one to cross off the list.
I collected baseball cards from the late '80s through 2002. Then I went to college and when I came out, I was lost. There were too many brands, sets, choices, relics, autos, parallels, variations. It was a turn off. However, I slowly made my way back. So here is my attempt to venture back into the hobby. I'll buy a few packs of cards here and there, comment on some cards I have, send out some TTMs, and follow the progress of my Topps Yankees Project.
Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new addition!
ReplyDeleteNice pick up! Every now and then, I also get the urge to pick up my 1st jersey card of his, but I'd prefer a pinstripe and the prices always bring me back to reality.
ReplyDeleteJust like I say in the case of Harmon Killebrew, any Jeter is a good Jeter.
