The college basketball season officially starts for me today! At 4pm ET, the 5th-ranked Syracuse Orange take on Fordham in the Carrier Dome.
I love Syracuse basketball as much as I love the Yanks and eagerly await each season. With a terrific core of returning players and some new blue-chip freshman, on paper this team has the pieces for a Final Four run. However, that's why the games are played, as anything can happen over the course of the season and in March. This season is special too because it may be Syracuse's last in the Big East if the conference ever agrees to waive the 27-month waiting period.
I won't post it about college hoops often, but perhaps Syracuse will make its way into a post or two. Anyhow, LET'S GO ORANGE!
I collected baseball cards from the late '80s through 2002. Then I went to college and when I came out, I was lost. There were too many brands, sets, choices, relics, autos, parallels, variations. It was a turn off. However, I slowly made my way back. So here is my attempt to venture back into the hobby. I'll buy a few packs of cards here and there, comment on some cards I have, send out some TTMs, and follow the progress of my Topps Yankees Project.
