I was excited to see my first spring training TTM success come in, although it's not quite what I expected.
I believe I sent this last year during spring training, but Phil Hughes returned my card signed. Pretty nice success from Hughes. I was always a big fan of him in NY, and while I wish he fared a little better for the Yanks, he wasn't awful. He was an All Star, won 18 games, and helped the team win the 2009 World Series. I'll take it.
As much as I dislike A&G (and this design in particular), there's nothing better for autographs than Ginter. His signature looks great on this card.
I collected baseball cards from the late '80s through 2002. Then I went to college and when I came out, I was lost. There were too many brands, sets, choices, relics, autos, parallels, variations. It was a turn off. However, I slowly made my way back. So here is my attempt to venture back into the hobby. I'll buy a few packs of cards here and there, comment on some cards I have, send out some TTMs, and follow the progress of my Topps Yankees Project.
Wow, I saw a few people were getting him back. Nice auto!
ReplyDeleteI knew I should've sent out a request to him last year :(.
ReplyDeleteCongrats though :).
