I've been at the TTM thing a pretty long time - since I was a lot younger. Here is a quick snapshot at a few of the Yankees autos I've gotten through the mail.
I collected baseball cards from the late '80s through 2002. Then I went to college and when I came out, I was lost. There were too many brands, sets, choices, relics, autos, parallels, variations. It was a turn off. However, I slowly made my way back. So here is my attempt to venture back into the hobby. I'll buy a few packs of cards here and there, comment on some cards I have, send out some TTMs, and follow the progress of my Topps Yankees Project.
Wow, really nice successes! I really wish some of these guys would still sign today. When did you send out to Hughes? And how long did it take? I just sent to him in Spring Training, and I really hope I get it back.
ReplyDeleteHey Drew - my Hughes success was in '06 when he was in the minors. He used to be a GREAT signer. Unfortunately he is a lot less consistent the past few years.
ReplyDeleteAhh ok, yeah I know of a lot of people that own autos of his when he was in the minors. He hasn't been very consistent for sure, hopefully I get lucky, even with all of the damage I've been getting on my customs lately.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you got Ponson TTM. He just seemed like a complete dick during his short time with the Royals.
ReplyDeleteHaha! It was more a product of having a nice card to send than being a fan of his. I must say, his signature is very neat and tidy!
