I won't lie, this had me worried. I mentioned before how the Yankees didn't have an ideal checklist for the 2017 edition of my Topps Yankees project. Then I saw some Tyler Clippard successes on the forums, so I started to get some hope.
Sure enough, when I got home yesterday, my first spring training success was waiting for me:
PHEW! What a relief. It looks awesome too. The signature stuck to the 2017 Topps perfectly.
Here is a quick scan of the entire project, although I do plan on doing a card-by-card post as well, as I haven't done one since 2015. Enjoy!
I collected baseball cards from the late '80s through 2002. Then I went to college and when I came out, I was lost. There were too many brands, sets, choices, relics, autos, parallels, variations. It was a turn off. However, I slowly made my way back. So here is my attempt to venture back into the hobby. I'll buy a few packs of cards here and there, comment on some cards I have, send out some TTMs, and follow the progress of my Topps Yankees Project.

Congrats on the return!
ReplyDeleteAwesome project you got going there.
I know you were worried about 2017 and I'm glad Clippard came through for you. It would have been horrible to see your streak broken. And everybody knows that you don't mess with a streak! (Well, at least most superstitious baseball people do!)
