The TTM season slows down a lot for me after Spring Training, but usually picks back up for a little bit after Bowman comes out. This year, a bunch of Yanks were included in the prospect portion of the set. I've already sent out a few, and finally got a return.
This comes courtesy of Brett Gerritse, a promising pitcher in the Yankees system. I sent to him c/o the Charleston Riverdogs, the Yanks' Low-A affiliate. Brett signed the card in silver Sharpie, which can be hit or miss. However, I think it came out nicely in this instance.
I collected baseball cards from the late '80s through 2002. Then I went to college and when I came out, I was lost. There were too many brands, sets, choices, relics, autos, parallels, variations. It was a turn off. However, I slowly made my way back. So here is my attempt to venture back into the hobby. I'll buy a few packs of cards here and there, comment on some cards I have, send out some TTMs, and follow the progress of my Topps Yankees Project.
