Yesterday I received an unexpected PWE from an address I didn't recognize. Upon opening it, I found this card inside:
Along with a note. You see, the card was a giveaway from Jason of Hoarding Cardboard. He's been holding a bunch of giveaways all month.
Kin of I Feel Like A Collector Again actually was the winner of this card, and he arranged to have it sent directly to me.
That sort of gesture shows what a great, generous community we have. I thank both of these guys for the card, and helping to spread plenty of holiday cheer. Thanks, guys!
I collected baseball cards from the late '80s through 2002. Then I went to college and when I came out, I was lost. There were too many brands, sets, choices, relics, autos, parallels, variations. It was a turn off. However, I slowly made my way back. So here is my attempt to venture back into the hobby. I'll buy a few packs of cards here and there, comment on some cards I have, send out some TTMs, and follow the progress of my Topps Yankees Project.
I knew that it would fit into your collection much better than mine. I know you'll give it a good home.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice gesture. Although I'd be kind of worried of people giving my address to others (then again I'm that kind of paranoid sort so...).
ReplyDeleteI promise I'm not coming after anyone! Just trying to send cards to good homes!
ReplyDeleteNice. Very cool blogger play.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. This baseball card thing has a bunch of generous souls.
