Get busy livin', or get busy die-cuttin'

I’m happy that in the last two-three years, Topps (and Bowman) have brought back die cuts. As a collector who grew up in the mid-90s, die cuts always stood out to me and I really enjoyed them. They felt rebellious.

I picked up this 2012 Topps Finest Robinson Cano diecut on Listia, and when I received it, my first thought was “well, this looks like all the other ones.” Outside of the Cut Above ones from last year, I feel like a lot of the more recent die cuts are pretty much the same card. I suppose I could be wrong, and I am happy diecuts are back, I suppose I just year for some true variety.

Here is a sampling of other recent Cano die cuts. See what I mean?
