Today is the one year anniversary of firing up The Lost Collector blog. After a year, I'm happy to still be at it. When I started it, I was pretty gung ho, but can't say for sure if I expected to last a year. Writing this blog, and reading all of yours, has really kept me interested in the hobby.
I've enjoyed all of the trades I've made and the unimaginable expansion of my Yankees collection thanks to the generosity of all of you. I've kept the TTM aspect of my collection going strong, and I know it's been in part so that my blog would have extra content. I've added countless relics cards, which is saying something because I probably only had two or so at this time a year ago. My collection went from a random assortment of Yanks to something I'm truly proud of.
Mostly, I feel I've made a lot of new friends despite never meeting in person. It's been a great first year, and I look forward to more of the same this year.
I collected baseball cards from the late '80s through 2002. Then I went to college and when I came out, I was lost. There were too many brands, sets, choices, relics, autos, parallels, variations. It was a turn off. However, I slowly made my way back. So here is my attempt to venture back into the hobby. I'll buy a few packs of cards here and there, comment on some cards I have, send out some TTMs, and follow the progress of my Topps Yankees Project.
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI could've sworn you were around before me in the blogosphere, but my first was last month. I guess that means you have done a great job when it seems like you have been around longer than you have.
Congrats!
