Yanks are rolling!

With Interleague play thankfully entering its last weekend, the Yanks find themselves rolling. They are 12-4 against the NAAAAtional League and have now won six straight. I heard an interesting stat tonight after the game - in the last 21 games, the Yankees have allowed four or fewer runs in 18 of those. Regardless of who you are, you're going to win a lot of games that way. Considering their rotation right now includes soft tossing Sweaty Freddy Garcia, head case AJ Burnett, rookie Ivan Nova and minor league journey man Brian Gordon (who?) it makes it even more impressive.

The Yanks rebounded from a frustrating six game losing streak last month and have been on a tear since. Not bad considering Hughes hasn't pitched since April (but will be back next week), big fatty Bart Colon has been on the DL (returns tomorrow), Jeter has been on the DL (returns Monday), Rafael Soriano hasn't pitched since April (due back right after the AS break) and Joba is down for the year with TJ surgery. The other day Cashman was asked what he is looking for on the trade market, and he responded, "I don't think I can find anything that's better than what I have coming off the DL." I tend to agree.
